The temporary closure of the website occured intermitently over the time frame and all issues were attended to . Soooooooo . Things are back to their blessedly quiet state.

This site will be shutting down for approx two weeks from the 7th June 2008 for maintenance and other issues and we will be back on approx 17th/18th of June 2008.

 

AU: 12 Year Old Wins Right to Sex Change

A JUDGE has allowed a 12-year-old Victorian girl to start a taxpayer-funded sex swap, despite objections from the child's father.

The girl has begun court-approved hormone treatment in the first step toward a complete gender switch.

The Family Court orders also permit the girl, who cannot be named, to apply for a new birth certificate, passport and Medicare card in a boy's name.

The application to allow the hormone treatment was lodged by the girl's mother.

A man who bashed a transexual at her Melbourne apartment will spend less time in jail after having his sentence reduced by two years.

Clinton Dwayne McRae went to Isabella Labrador's apartment after meeting her at a Crown Casino bar in January 2006.

A Centrelink decision to reduce a pre-operative transsexual lesbian’s pension because she was in a relationship with another woman has been overturned by the Administrative Appeals Tribunal.

Samantha Scafe lodged an appeal when Centrelink claimed she was in a “marriage-like relationship” with her partner Colleen Smith and gave her the partnered rate of disability support pension, less than the single rate. The pair did not deny being in a relationship.
